A manual uninstall is typically not needed on Windows or Linux. You can expect to receive an email from us when your department will begin receiving the Code42 offering. Perform the following steps if you were unable to uninstall the Code42 agent on a Mac using the directions provided above. Starting February 2020, and running through March 2020, CALS OIT will begin a phased rollout of Code42. How to Get Code42 Step 1: Categorize your Computerįor you to begin using this backup solution, you must first help us categorize your computer(s), if you haven’t done so already. If you’re already using Code42, there is nothing else you need to do. Code42 is available to all users of CALS-OIT managed computers at no cost as this solution is being fully funded by CALS.ĬALS Office of Information Technology has been configuring newly setup computers with Code42 and we will now begin offering it to all CALS managed computers. Code42 is offered as part of Cornell’s Certified Desktop as a direct replacement for EZ-Backup. Cornell’s current solution for data backup and recovery, EZ-Backup, is being phased out and a real-time, secure, cloud-based solution called Code42 is taking its place.
